World of Warcraft Classic launches August 27th, Closed Beta date revealed

Blizzard has finally given World of Warcraft Classic an official release date of August 27th, 2019, and it will be a PC exclusive. Are you ready for the Closed Beta this month?

If there were a few things I missed about World of Warcraft – I would say it was the classic content such as Zul’gurub, Zul’aman, and even classic Naxxramas when it was still a forty man raid. What I didn’t miss, was the headaches, the slow travel systems, and well… Everything else that came with the classic version of the game.

Since my days of entering Azeroth as it was back in 2004, I can’t say I missed them all that much, but for whatever reason, there are a lot of people who actually do. Well, those of you who are interested, World of Warcraft Classic is almost here, and for those of you that missed out on an era where Blood Elves, Flying Mounts, and quick gold accumulation were a thing, you’re almost done waiting.

Starting on August 27th, 2019, you have a chance to experience what some of us former veteran players opted to forget while we had the chance. Those of you who actually subscribe to the game, you can jump right on in, and it’s part of your already ongoing subscription.

If you want to check in on the classic version of the ever-so-popular MMO, you can actually apply to participate in the upcoming Closed Beta, which starts May 15th, 2019, and will allow for any bugs, any issues, and other problems, to get squashed ahead of the launch of the final version.
