In the second webisode for A Plague Tale: Innocence, Asobo Studio, takes us behind the scenes to see how they brought the Dark Ages to life in their upcoming game and the thought processes behind the settings they have recreated.
As we quickly approach the upcoming release of A Plague Tale: Innocence, Asobo Studio has once again released another webisode for their web series that gives us an inside look of how the team is working on the game and even bringing one of the darkest times in the history of the world to life.
The latest episode gives us a behind-the-scenes look at how Asobo Studio brought the Dark Ages to life. In it, Focus Home Interactive, the publisher behind the game, highlights the work Asobo Studio has done, giving us an idea of just how hard this incredible team of designers has worked from their France-based studio.
The latest episode takes a drastically different step away from the sibling protagonists we were introduced to in Episode 1 and is rightfully named “Dark Ages” for what it does discuss. In the “Dark Ages’ episode, we get to take a look at the process that went into Asobo Studios work in making a grounded and realistic world set within the darkest hours of human history as a plague sweeps the lands, taking countless lives as it does.
The creative team from Asobo Studio even go into detail, discussing how they visited real French villages through their developmental process in creating A Plague Tale Innocence. This includes taking notes of those streets of the villages they visited, how they’re designed, and even taking cues from some of Frances most renowned painters in order to give the game itself a natural-looking lighting effect fans will experience.
