Originally released as a Nintendo 3DS exclusive, SENRAN KAGURA Burst; XSEED Games has revealed the classic beat ’em up port will be released on PlayStation 4 and PC starting January 22, 2019. Here’s what you need to know.
Set to release for PC and PlayStation 4 in just a short few weeks, SENRAN KAGURA Burst Re:Newal will be a full modern remake of the first entries of the series when it launches. However, there’s more to this announcement than just meets the eye as Marvelous USA and XSEED Games have revealed the games upcoming Limited Editions which are now available for pre-order at participating retailers.
First up is the ‘Tailer-Made’ edition that will run a cool $49.99. This edition will feature a 2-disc soundtrack containing 58 tracks to jam out to when you aren’t brawling your way through your opponents. Along with it comes a DLC key for the playable character Yumi and her very own playable character along with several other key DLC features including two uniforms from the original release, and a Lovey-Dobey Couple Diorama Pose Set to enjoy.
Next up is the ‘At the Steams’ edition. This version will run you $79.99 and will feature all of the same content from the earlier edition, but will also feature six ‘Busty Besties’ – rubber character straps with display stands to use. Not bad for collector’s wanting to show off their fandom for the game. But, there is one more version you need to know about ahead of the official launch.
For those of you wanting to just play the game and not worry about the collectible goodies, there is a standalone version that will launch on Steam and the PlayStation Store for $39.99. Everyone who pre-orders the game will be able to get the “Beautiful Something Yukata” DLC, which will be a pre-order exclusive for 4 weeks before being made available for purchase to everyone for $3.99. Along with this reveal comes the “Blooming Again” theme for PlayStation 4, which will be available for $2.99 after the pre-orders end.
The previously mentioned theme will be available for $2.99 as part of the Week 5 DLC drop. Along with these content drops comes two DLC costumes -“Cutie ♡ Melon” and “Cutie ♡ Peach”. Both will be free to download for the first four weeks after the official launch and $3.99 each after that period ends.
