Along with the announcement of the famed creature Deviljho, The World Eater, Capcom has also announced that players can prepare for an upcoming event called the Spring Blossom Fest, a Mega Man crossover event, and a glimpse at future content patching which includes the ability to alter your characters gender, appearances, etc.
As part of the Deviljho content, Capcom has revealed that Deviljho will bring with it two armor sets -Vangis α and Vangis β – as well as new weapons to forge out of the fourteen existing stypes as well as brand new Deviljho designs for the Sword and Shield, Hunting Horn, Bow, Insect Glave, and the Charge Blade. You can see the weapons and armor in the gallery down below.
As part of their announcements, Capcom has also revealed the dates for their upcoming three-day event called the Spring Blossom Fest, which will take place from April 5, 2018, starting at 5pm PST until April 18th, 2018, until 5pm PST. As part of this seasonal event, the first of many, Capcom has announced that the Celestial Pursuit, or the Gathering Hub, will be decked out in Blossom Fest decorations.
During this period special daily activities will available including a lot of monster hunting, enjoying some new seasonal event food and playing with friends. Since Capcom has still more announcements to be made about this event, you can rest assured that we will be keeping you informed with new articles as new information is made available.
One last thing we can’t forget. During this time, Capcom has also revealed they will be hosting two very special Event Quests for you Hunters to enjoy. First up, the Mega Man crossover event that was announced during E3 2017. During this time, Hunters can take on a limited time event quest, which will see them being able to unlock a Mega Man voxel style Palico gear from April 13, 2018, until April 27, 2018.
Starting on April 6th, the start of the Spring Blossom Fest, Capcom has also announced that players will be able to begin gathering materials in order to craft the Wyvern Ignition Great Sword, the winner of Capcom’s community Weapon Design Contest. You can check out the weapon designs down below.
Last, but not least, one of the biggest features we’ve been waiting to see, which is the ability to re-edit our characters including the ability to change their gender, physical appearance, and cosmetic appearances including hairstyles, face paint, etc. However, it has been clarified by Capcom that you will not be able to edit your Hunter’s name, Palico name or appearance. This one time token is valid for one use only and will only allow for a single editing of your character’s appearance, however, Capcom has announced that you can purchase more vouchers at a later date.
Stay tuned as we’ll keep you updated as more information about these changes goes live. For the currently available patch notes, you can visit the official Capcom Unity post for more information.
