Game gifting has remained elusive for console gamers. It’s a feature that has been requested for quite sometime. A feature that Microsoft had been investigating for quite sometime. Gamers first spotted the availability to test this feature just a short few months ago during an Xbox One Update Preview Program.
The feature allowed for Xbox Live users to gift out games, downloadable content, and even subscription services such as Xbox Live Gold or Xbox Game Pass. All of this can be easily done through the Microsoft Store on Windows or Console. All users have to do in order to do this is head to the store, choose “Buy as Gift”, and then put in the recipient’s email address if you have it. Then they will get a digital code that that user can redeem in order to enjoy the gift you’ve sent them.
