If you are like me, you’ve already cleared out some shelf space, wiped down that polished spot, and even decided to setup a few Batman collectibles to go with it. So what does this mean? If you take to the Rocksteady forums, you’ll see their team saying “unforeseen circumstances” are to blame for this cancellation. As sad as it is, we already know that they are driven by quality, but as this is unfortunate, it means that that shelf space will need filled by something else.
“We regret to inform you that we are not able to release the Batmobile Collector’s Edition of Batman: Arkham Knight due to unforeseen circumstances that greatly compromised the quality of this extremely limited run of product. We are deeply apologetic for this unfortunate outcome.”” Rocksteady said in a statement. It is sad to see that the company had to issue such a statement.
As the selling point of this 200 USD model, but in turn several have received the following email from the developers:
“Dear Batman: Arkham Fans,
We regret to inform you that we are not able to release the Batmobile Collector’s Edition of Batman: Arkham Knight due to unforeseen circumstances that greatly compromised the quality of this extremely limited run of product. We are deeply apologetic for this unfortunate outcome. If you did pre-order the Batmobile Collector’s Edition, please go to the retail location where you pre-ordered the product and you will receive a full refund of your deposit or it can be rolled over to another Batman: Arkham Knight edition or another product of your choice. We will be providing everyone who purchases Batman: Arkham Knight with the New 52 skin pack, including Batman, Robin and Nightwing, free of charge.

Our Take:
It’s sad to hear when such an awesome opportunity has hit a bit of a hiccup like this, and for Rocksteady, this is not a hiccup they needed. We just hope this doesn’t cause fans to turn away from one of 2015’s most anticipated games of the year.
