FF Curtain Call SC04

In 1987, a masterpiece of a franchise was introduced to the world in the form of Final Fantasy. This masterpiece introduced the world to turn based RPG’s and allowed the world to take on one of the greatest creations as well as some of the greatest scores of all time. In turn, Square-Enix and Nintendo came together and made something spectacular; Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call. The first title had appeared in 2012, which had lead it to becoming a success among fans who decided to partake in the spin-off’s, which would eventually become fan favorites. In the original title and this one, songs have been purposely re-arranged and or timed so that each of the buttons matches up with the songs beat and allows for a rather fun time.

In Curtain Call, players will take on each song possible so that they can explore further events, but also unlock new songs as they go. In the basic campaign mode, Curtain Call is very entertaining and features over 200+ songs. More songs will launch within the near future as well as the prolonged life span of the game. Many of these currently released and future releases of Final Fantasy songs will return as the original and classic 8-bit tunes and or will remain in their fully original composure, which will leave many not to be disappointed as the nostalgia builds up.

On the journey through this, players will find that it features songs from spin-off titles such as Final Fantasy Mystic Quest, Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core and Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. With tracks like these being present, the game has come to feature amazing and profound tracks that have managed to remain hidden gems of the franchise. Some of these songs vary though; some are battle themes while others are simply field songs, but also event scenes. The Events tracks are the ones that seem to be the most entertaining thanks to the video clips that play, some of these include the song “Answers” from Final Fantasy XIV’s soundtrack as well as “1000 Words” from Final Fantasy X-2. While featuring songs from the upcoming Final Fantasy Type-0, which will let fans have a chance to experience the games music for the first time outside of Japan; this of course is unless players had the soundtrack and or the PSP game imported from across the seas. This addition was quite amazing as many other games have also been added in such as Dissidia Final Fantasy and Final Fantasy Duo Decim, among many others. With these scores players will experience many of the different variations that had released over time. Regardless, the songs are refreshing and quite memorable and will not disappoint any fan of the series or new comers alike.

FF Curtain Call SC02

For those who want a game that will give an amazing adventure, especially with the games quest mode. This mode allows players to adventure through the game in varying difficulty as the game is completed in this mode. It will feature event songs, field songs, and of course battle themes. For many this game mode will be easy and acceptable to fans new and old. For fans of the original such as myself? The game itself is highly entertaining and has allowed for almost thirty hours of entertainment since its launch on September 16th, 2014. Why is this? The capability to play with both stylus and or the thumbstick; this making the game have more variation and easier control.

FF Curtain Call SC01

With that being stated, the many RPG elements that take place vary from leveling to critical strikes via hitting perfect notes. Each of these will have their own varying effect that will either help or slow a player’s progression. With that being said, Theatrhythm Curtain Call comes swinging its sword and carving out a solid 9 out of 10.

Both of these will be capable of opening up an entire new experience from what we’ve seen before.

One thing that will entertain many is the large roster. Boasting 55 warriors in total, the roster itself will feature unique warriors such as Takatora Todo, who serves Ieyasu Tokugawa and will appear emotionless, making him an intense person to look upon as all emotions are locked deep within him. To counter this they are introducing the newest Kagatsu Uesugi, will be there, he speaks with his actions and is dedicated to his training so that he may keep up with his fathers title as “God of War”. Will names such as Muneori Yaygu, who trains as a Shinkage style swordsman, be able to bring forth life and death in the battlefield?

For many people whom have gotten their hands on the franchise known as ALIEN have a lot to be excited for with October quickly approaching. Why is this? The latest entry into the ALIEN universe created by Ridley Scott through his impeccable ability as a director, we are about to witness the events that pick up shortly after Ellen’s adventure in the NOSTROMO after an incident occurred on the planet LV-424. With the title we have learned that the game, at its core, will be a horror survival. The player will not be able to kill the Alien that is hunting them, and will be forced to evade it’s learning tactics, and adapt to them as well. With this game being what it is, we have also learned that the titles Survivor Mode is officially announced and will be getting additional content through the add-on packs that will be available through the games Season Pass, which is now available from GameStop for those in North America.

AI_SurvivorMode_003_1410945300

The Survivor Mode was revealed earlier this year at E3 and was well received by fans who witnessed the game mode for the first time. This mode will challenge players to participate in a one-to-one confrontation with the games enemy, the Xenomorph, which will hunt them deep within the core of the Sevastopol Station. This hunt is not going to be easy, and will test the steadfastness of anyone who dares to take on the creature. Why? Resources will be limited on each map, and with a hunter such as the Alien on the loose, players will need to take advantage of everything that can be gathered up. While doing this, players will be completing objectives, which will be unique to each scenario, and will help lead to their overall escape from the Xenomorph.

AI_SurvivorMode_002_1410945299

“At this year’s E3 and a number of subsequent events, we put the Survivor Mode demo into the hands of the world’s press and consumers and the reception was incredible,” said Al Hope, Creative Lead on Alien: Isolation. “This is the game in its purest form; it’s you against the creature and it’s against the clock. It was just fantastic watching players leave the demo with a strange mix of joy, terror and relief at simply surviving, before jumping back in and try to tackle it in a different way to beat their time!”

The title itself will have a Survivor Mode demo on a single map called ‘Basement’. The map will allow players to test the mode and see what the talk is about, which will undoubtedly, not disappoint. For those getting the season pass or interested in each content separately, the DLC will start releasing on October 28th, and will allow players to enjoy the first of five add-on packs available for the mode. Players also will be able to purchase the Season Pass in order to obtain more content for the overall game which will allow players to set objectives, challenges, and even access a new playable character and experience a very of enemy types that will try and stop the player between each of the escape points hunted.

For More information regarding the title, check out the trailer via the link below or read the statement from SEGA regarding this title below!

Also available to purchase from launch will be the Alien: Isolation Season Pass, offering access to all five Survivor Mode add-on packs, at up to a 25% discount. All add-on content packs are scheduled to be released by March 2015.

This means upgraded graphics, combat, and new dangers and strategic capabilities in each of the fighting rings. With this we also will be getting to see the largest roster ever before released in a DEAD OR ALIVE title. So who exactly can you expect to play? Since this title is currently in development at the studios where Team NINJA works, we currently know more will be revealed in the upcoming months. This could mean we will see more at Tokyo Game Show later this year or press statements that will be looked into at a later date. At this time Koei Tecmo has stated that the game has not received an official rating, but they do anticipate a “M” for Mature rating due to the games content and themes.

Saul Tears of Tiara II

-Saul-

The borderlands platoon leader who protects the Rhenus River fortress near the western border of the Empire. He has worked his way up from an ordinary civilian and accrued plenty of battle experiences. His platoon also places a lot of trust in him.

In order to protect the peace in the frontier, Saul does not skip a day in patrolling the border. He originally hails from Lusitania, located in the western regions of the Empire, but has battled in the eastern frontier when he was young. Due to his extended stay in the frontier, Saul’s crude use of language stands out, but his overwhelming might is feared even by the tribes.

Charis Tears of Tiara II

-Charis-

A girl acknowledged as a temple priestess. She serves the head priest Hamil and the goddess Tarte. Charis may be a bit young, but knows exactly what needs to be done, whether it be running errands for Hamil or cleaning the temple in the village.

Ever since Tarte descended upon the world, Charis has served as her handmaiden. With a bright and lively personality, she looks up to Hamil and Tarte as older siblings.

Izebel Tears of Tiara II

-Izebel-

Acting governor of Hispania, and commander of the Imperial Army of the western border.

Izebel was one of the closest subordinates of the previous governor (Hamil’s father), but as soon as she learned about plans of rebellion, she switched allegiance to the Empire, which led to his death. She was awarded with authority equal to the province’s governor and now rules over Hispania.

Though she has a memorable, voluptuous smile and behaves like everyone’s best friend, she is cunning and cold-blooded. Izebel becomes a fearsome enemy in battle.

Aemilia

-Aemilia-

An engineering bureaucrat who was around at the birth of the Divine Empire. Aemilia has directed construction and transportation in the old Empire, and is also well-acquainted with finances.

Aemilia firmly believes in three things: that she is a genius, that technology can solve any problem in the world, and that advancement in technology is the best means to lead humanity to happiness. She’s a workaholic and favors efficiency, even dressing like a man in order to increase her mobility in the Empire.

As the old Empire shifted to theocracy, the engineering bureaucrats – many of whom share the same beliefs as her – have strayed away from the Divine Empire.

Laelius Tears of Tiara II

-Laelius-

An Imperial knight in Izebel’s council of advisors. Laelius was born into a family of knights and vows absolute loyalty to the Empire. He still holds onto the antiquated mindset of chivalry and is unyielding in his belief, but that stubborn quality of his earns him the trust of the Imperial Army.

He looks up to Izebel and believes that the Imperial moral code and way of life lie with her. Laelius’s wish for order and stability in the Empire is second to none, so he cannot forgive the rebellion in Hispania. He will mercilessly punish anyone who betrays the Empire.
