Xbox One January Update is Here

If you haven’t been on your Xbox One in the past couple of days, don’t be surprised when your console boots up, states it needs an update, and downloads one. This update is apparently to fix some “behind-the-scenes” bugs that needed squashed to improve console stability. Guess what? We’re fine with that.

While it’s not the next big update in February, we’re always down for better performance, security fixes, and the likes. While we aren’t sure what the bugs are, Major Nelson explained Microsoft doesn’t intend to explain, as Major Nelson added via his Twitter, there will not be any patch notes released for this system update. So it seems like it’s just a small deal. So game on Xbox players, game on!
