Danganronpa’s 10th anniversary is kicking off this May


DANGANRONPA is preparing to kick off its 10th-anniversary event where Spike Chunshoft will have a monthly Danganronpa Livestream event with Megumi Ogata and upcoming game announcements. Here’s what you need to know.

If you haven’t had a chance to meet Monokuma, you’ll have a chance to now, as Spike Chunsoft has prepared to take friends on the insane adventures of Makoto Naegi and Nagito Komaeda in Dangaonronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc and Dangaonronpa 2: Goodbye Despair. The hosts? Well, their voice actors Megumi Ogata, their respective voice actor who played both characters!

Of course, there will be additional guest(s) who have been a major part of the Danganronpa series since its inception. The crew will look back on the 10 years of the franchise’s history while also discussing new Danganronpa related information. The live stream event will take place on May 21st, 2020, at 9pm (JST), 5pm PST, 7am CST and 8am EST via the official Danganronpa Twitter account.

During the stream, Spike Chunsoft will be asking Danganronpa fans to submit their comments, which some of them will be selected and be read during the livestream event. The team has revealed that details on how to submit your comment will be posted via the Danganronpa Twitter account. So go, give them a follow so you can get your burning questions in.

On top of celebrating the 10th anniversary of the series, Spike Chunsoft has revealed that Danganronpa will be collaborating with the popular multiplayer mobile game Identity V. The details regarding this collaboration will be detailed via the Identity V Twitter account at a later date.

Along with the recent announcement regarding the livestream event and the upcoming collaboration, Spike Chunsoft has revealed that three titles from the series are coming to mobile devices including some enhancements to those games to make their transition to mobile platforms a little easier.


Those games will feature brand-new UI elements, easy-to-use touch controls, a brand-new gallery function to easily access illustrations, event scenes, voice lines, and concept pieces that have been added to those games. Those games just happen to be Danganronpa: Trigger Happy HavocDanganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair and Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony.

Each game will release as an “Anniversary Edition” on iOS and Android with their release dates and pricing have yet to be determined. Those games are available today on PC, PlayStation Vita, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4.
