Originally released as a PlayStation Vita exclusive, Ys: Memories of Celceta is making its way to PlayStation 4 and is set to launch in the Spring of 2020 with some brand-new added features.
Since its release in 2013, Ys: Memories of Celceta remains one of the most beloved titles in the franchise, but for a long time, it has remained a PlayStation Vita exclusive, but as of Spring 2020, Marvelous USA and XSEED Games have revealed that the Nihon Falcom title will be heading to the PlayStation 4.
The remastered version will come with 60 FPS, full HD graphics, and even optimized controls to make up for the lack of touch screen functions. It has also been revealed that the game will include the original Japanese voice-overs as well as the English voice over casting. The Japanese casting dub will be released at a later date for PC as a free content update.
A physical day one purchase version called the “Timeless Adventurer Edition” that will run for $39.99 on the XSEED Games Store as well as participating retailers such as GameStop and various other locations. The Timeless Adventurer Edition will include a special soundtrack CD that was part of the Japanese “Ys 25th Anniversary Pack” and will feature 9 re-arranged songs from Ys I through Ys SEVEN and Ys Origin with another 5 songs from the original MSX release and twelve 4″ x 6″ art cards highlighting various heroines from the lore of Ys.
Alongside the physical release, XSEED Games has announced a digital version that will be available for $29.99 and will feature the game as a stand-alone purchase.
