Monster Hunter World: Iceborne has received its second major free title update that features a returning subspecies for Zinogre. Additionally, PlayStation 4 fans can rejoice as the second portion of Horizon Zero Dawn content is here and features ‘The Frozen Wildlands’ DLC.
Available now as a free title update, players can jump in and experience a ton of brand-new free content for the title including a subspecies of the fan-favorite Zinogre, a tempered Elder Dragon, and a brand new region for the Guiding Lands area. Those on PlayStation 4 can continue on with the Horizon Zero Dawn collaboration that introduces Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds into the game as well as new gameplay additions and upcoming in-game seasonal events.
As the update does introduce Zingore’s latest forms, players will get a chance to hunt down the Stygian Zinogre which harnesses the Dragon element instead of lightning this time around. This new hunt will require the utmost attention to detail and understanding of the fight as well as some of the highest-ranking gear you can currently obtain to have any chance at overcoming the challenge that awaits you.
Along with Zinogre comes a brand-new Guiding Lands area called the Tundra Region which serves as a snowy landscape where Barioth and Viper Tobi-Kadachi calls home as well as the ability to obtain special materials exclusive to the Tundra Region. Coming to change things up is also a tempered Elder Dragon, which sees Tempered Ruiner Nergigante.
Along with the new content comes a brand-new set of weapon sets within each weapon type called the Defender Weapons. All fourteen weapon types will have Defender Weapons in them and all are upgradeable Play and easily forged at the Smithy, making them even more valuable for Hunters as they go out in the field.
