Hot on the heels of RAGE 2’s release just a few short months ago, id Software and Avalanche Studios are preparing to crank the dial-up even further from an 11 to a 12 with their brand-new story region, story missions, and even more RAGE 2-induced craziness. Here’s the low-down.

RAGE 2 is about to get bigger, better, and bolder than ever before when Bethesda cranks up its insanity levels from 11 to a 12. Their new upcoming expansion Rise of the Ghosts expansion is preparing to do just that when it launches on September 26th, for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

The new expansion will see players facing down against a brand-new faction of Feltrite-infused Ghosts who will fall victims to Ranger Walkers’ brand-new Feltrite Laser Launcher, which will see their cannibalistic deeds coming to an end. Alongside a brand-new weapon, brand-new enemies, don’t think a brand-new Void ability and plenty more features aren’t on their way.

id Software and Avalanche Studios have confirmed that Ranger Walker will see an entirely new arsenal come to their disposal. This new arsenal will all be included with the expansion when it dropped. For those wanting to jump into it, you will find the DLC becoming available for free for those who own the Deluxe Edition or for 1400 RAGE Coins ($15 USD) on September 26th, 2019.

Yeah… there are plenty of wasteland Ghosts that need bustin’, and the only one you need to call is the Wasteland Superhero, Ranger Walker, with his overpowered Feltrite abilities and his arsenal of devastating, flesh-chewing weaponry. You can also upgrade to the Deluxe Edition and receive 2000 RAGE Coins alongside the Rise of the Ghosts expansion and other bonus content including the DOOM BFG.

You can check out the DLC breakdown down below as provided to us by Bethesda:

  • Brand-New Story
  • New Enemy Faction, the malicious Ghosts
  • Huge New Region, the Overgrown City
  • New Weapon – Feltrite Laser Launcher: This powerful new weapon incinerates any enemies in its path with a lethal Feltrite-infused beam.
  • New Ability – Void: Target an enemy with Void to grab them and suspend them in the air ragdoll-style before sending them flying with Shatter, or focus the ability to make your target’s head explode. Either way, you’re probably having a good time.
  • New Vehicle – Ghost Motorcycle

Just with the listed content alone, it looks like RAGE 2 is about to be even more explosive than it was before. After all, we already stated that it is “a shooter you shouldn’t miss as long as you don’t mind making it last through exploring a fully fleshed-out open world, that, at times, does feel slightly hollow, but still rather organic to most games of this type through side-missions, daily bounties, and even live-events that crop up rather often.”
