Bohemia Interactive, the team behind the Arma series, has revealed that their open-world survival title, DayZ has officially launched on PlayStation 4 alongside a live-action trailer outlining the game itself.
Without a heads up or any kind of warning, fans of the Survival genre have a lot to be excited for as Bohemia Interactive has just magically dropped DayZ onto the PlayStation Store as of today. The game has been slated at $49.99 USD, a price some may consider for a game that’s already six-years-old and has been available on PC for that entire period.
But, without any form of complaint, the game is here. To get us interested in the game, the developer/publisher has revealed four minutes of footage, a live-action trailer if you will, that outlines the features of the game, including you, 60 other players, and an island called Chernarus, a place where the undead have taken over.
The undead should be the least of your worries though, other players will also be fighting for supplies, trying to survive, and forming bonds that can be broken in order to increase their odds of survival. The true skill behind the game? Survive. Make decisions that matter, and most of all, try to determine whether that shot you are about to take is worth drawing in a field of undead or not.
I, for one, hope to see you all out there.
