As Twitch Prime continues to dish out amazing rewards, the latest comes in the shape of a free year for Nintendo Online, allowing Switch owners to save a solid twenty bucks on their membership or even extending their already active one. Here’s the lowdown.
For some, memberships to online services such as Xbox Live, PlayStation Network, or even EA Access are a hassle. They’re pricy, but their offerings aren’t actually all that bad. There are free games, Early Access to select online titles, and there are even those free in-game offerings for games like Apex Legends and Warframe.
Nintendo has only recently joined that party, making it so that anyone that wants to play an online game, minus Fortnite, needs to have a membership to their online service. However, what if you didn’t want to Pony up and get said membership? Well, Twitch Prime is going to save you twenty bucks for an entire year of Nintendo Online.
All you have to do is have a Twitch Prime account, head over here, and make sure your Twitch account with an active Amazon/Twitch Prime account is logged in, log into your My Nintendo account, and reap the rewards of a free year of Nintendo Online.
But there is a catch to the one-year membership. You only get the first three months up front then claim the other nine months in two months from now. So it’ll be smart to set a reminder on your phone or tablet, or something, so you can go back and redeem the other nine!
Enjoy the goodies!
