As the haunting season begins, developers around the world are preparing for their own ability to celebrate with in-game events. Among them comes World of War Tanks Blitz featuring Mad Max: Fury Roads’ Pricinple Vehicle Designer and Concept Artist Peter Pound.
Kicking off the season of Halloween themed festivities, World of War Tanks Blitz is getting a festive makeover with two new tanks from Peter Pound. The Tier V Scavenger and the Tier VII Gravedigger will both be available for a limited time through the event. Each come with their own Halloween themed designs as part of the Signature Series that began with legendary Gundam designer Kunio Okawara who also designed the O-47.
“Working together with the World of Tanks Blitz team, I was able to create some unique designs and given creative freedom,” said Pound. “With Mad Max: Fury Road, I was focused on car designs but the challenge here was taking tanks and making them even more heavy metal! I enjoy a challenge and it was a cool experience. Now I hope everyone enjoys the hard work put into these steel beasts.”
Alongside the new tanks, Mad Games will feature an exclusive game mode set in a post-apocalyptic map for fans to enjoy. The new map will feature things such as sandstorms to usher in an entirely new experience. Along with the new mode comes powerful new abilities including invisibility, shields, and armor restoring abilities to add some ghoulish-like fun into the game.
During the Mad Games event, fans can also get their hands on the famous tanks from past Halloween events such as 2015’s Tanksenstein and 2016’s Dracula and Helsing. Along with the classic tanks comes the ability to obtain items including items for customization. The Mad Games event starts today (Oct. 17) until Nov. 12, 2018.
World of Tanks Blitz is now available as a free-to-play mobile MMO game built specifically for mobile devices utilizing Android and iOS.
