After a brief delay from its original launch earlier this year, Dark Souls: Remastered has officially received a release date and now we have an official date for its Network Test on the Nintendo Switch.
In a press statement released earlier today, Bandai Namco and FromSoftware have revealed the Network Test for Dark Souls: Remastered schedule which will take place over the course of this weekend. The Network Test will begin this Friday, Sept. 21, at 5:00pm to 9:00pm PDT until this Sunday, Sept. 23, when the Network Test will come to a close.
The upcoming test can be downloaded through the Nintendo eShop via your Nintendo Switch. Bandai Namco has confirmed that the Network Test will require an active Nintendo Switch Online subscription for players to access the game as it will be an online-only experience.
For those who are unsure whether or not to sign up for the Nintendo Switch Online service can opt to use their one week free trial through the Nintendo eShop that will give them access to online multiplayer for all their games, a chance to test out the Nintendo Entertainment System – Nintendo Switch Online app that currently features 20 games and a chance to try out the cloud storage feature.
Nintendo Switch owners wanting a taste of what DARK SOULS™: Remastered has in store for them can get a sneak peek with a Network Test which begins Friday, September 21st and goes through Sunday, September 23rd. The test will run from 5:00pm – 9:00pm PDT each day and will be available to download starting today through the Nintendo eShop.
Dark Souls: Remastered and it’s accompanied Solaire of Astora amiibo are scheduled to launch on Oct. 19, 2018 through both the Nintendo eShop digitally alongside all participating retailers.
