SMACH Team has revealed their mobile device the SMACH Z. The handheld device aims to bring the power of PC gaming to a handheld gaming console with a 6″” touchscreen that can play AAA PC games in true HD resolutions.
During E3 2018, SMACH Team has delivered a new trailer outlining their SMACH Z portable gaming console for PC games. The handheld, set to release this winter, will be bringing HD gaming to AAA PC games on a 6″ touchscreen while on the go. The SMACH Team has revealed that the SMACH Z will launch this winter with two editions of the device: the SMACH Z and the SMACH Z PRO.
“We are really excited to showcase the first hands-on demo of the SMACH Z prototype build to media at E3 2018 and look forward to getting initial feedback, which will be crucial to bring the fully functional Beta version to Gamescom 2018,” said Daniel Fernandez, CEO at SMACH Team. “It’s an ambitious project but each step takes us closer to the ultimate gaming console that PC games enthusiasts have been waiting for.”
Through crowdfunding sights Kickstarter and Indiegogo, the SMACH Z raised more than $740,000 in order to make this device a possibility. The funding was brought around to help achieve top-notch performances in both operation and visual capacities. SMACH Team has revealed the device(s) will be using an AMD Ryzen Embedded V1000 processor alongside an AMD Radeon Vega 8 Graphics, running Windows 10 or Linux.
SMACH Team has confirmed that you will be able to access your Steam library without any extra charges being made in order to play the games you know and love. Along with featuring completely customizable haptic controllers adapted for PC games that can fit any play style for this all-in-one gaming system that can be connected to a TV via HDMI.
Additionally, just like a desktop PC, SMACH Z will be able to double up as a multimedia center device capable that can do 4K video playback or be used as a browser that can stream videos and make calls via Skype. You can view the E3 2018 trailer down below.
