At E3 our friends over at Square Enix had some amazing news for fans of Star Ocean. As of E3 they announced that  STAR OCEAN®: Integrity and Faithlessness™, will be headed west to the America’s. Developed by tri-Ace, the celebrated team behind the original titles, Star Ocean’s newest announcement prepares us for a new storyline and new characters designed by akiman (Akira Yasuda for those unfamiliar with his works), and is slated to release in 2016 exclusively on the PlayStation 4, making it the official home for STAR OCEAN: Integrity and Faithlessness.

Like before, this newest entry will prepare players for an epic adventure that will introduce seamless transitions between both gameplay and the dynamic cut scenes that will allow gamers to take in a new sense of depth to the series. With the combat once more returning as real-time combat, fans will enjoy a truly uninterrupted narrative as well as gameplay moments. The story will set players between STAR OCEAN: The Second Story and STAR OCEAN: Till the End of Time, STAR OCEAN: Integrity and Faithlessness takes place centuries after humans have left Earth for the stars. On a planet in the distant Faykreed star system, the swordsman Fidel Camuze and his childhood friend Miki Sauvester set out to protect their village from being swallowed in the tides of civil unrest. Will you join these heroes on their grand adventure?
