Team Ninja to Host a Dead or Alive Festival in Japan

Are you familiar with Dead or Alive 5 Last Round or the franchise as a whole? Great! For those of you itnerested, Koei Tecmo and Team NINJA have announced that they will be hosting a Dead or Alive Festival that will bring players in for a one-day exhibition style tournament that will be held in Tokyo, Japan for the top players of Dead or Alive 5 Last Round. The Festival will be held on August 1st, 2015 worldwide and will feature top players from North America, Europe, and Asia to see who is the best of the best. During this tournament, fans will vote for the top two of North America’s players to see who will compete in the tournament’s top eight finals alongside three top players from both Europe and Asia. Also, the top three winners from qualifier brackets from earlier in the tournament.

For those interested, the tournament is free and is open to all players from around the world, meaning that you should jump on this while you can since they will be taking a total of five international players to see whom will compete in and automatically qualify for the top eight finals in the Dead or Alive Festival. This year, they will be using points from this years North American Dead or Alive tournament tour, which was known as Battle Royal 2015, which will bring in two North American players who will be determined to attend the event in order to see who is truly the best of the best out of the total of eight qualifying players with the most points in the tournament.

For those watching or attempting to get in, Team NINJA will post the final top eight North American candidates on June 15th, 2015, after the ECT (East Coast Throwdown) tournament has ended. This means that those top eight players from Battle Royal 2015, will be officially posted on the Team NINJA social channels and will allow for you, the community, to cast your votes via select fighting game community websites. For those wanting to vote, the website information will be allowed to be taken in after the ECT ends, which will allow the top 2 winners with the most votes to go on after July 3rd, 2015, via the FGC Website and Team NINJA social media pages.


Official Tournament Information:

To be held at Osaki Bright Core Hall in Tokyo, DEAD OR ALIVE FESTIVAL will award a non-cash prize valued at $3,000 USD to first place. First and second places will also win a sponsored flight, hotel, and registration fee for the grand finals of Battle Royal 2015, NEC (Northeast Championships) XVI, which will take place in Philadelphia this December. Further details will be revealed at a later date.
