Are you ready to once more trek across large battlefields donning your favourite costumes and weapons? Koei Tecmo has announced the long anticipated upcoming digital release for Samurai Warriors Chronicles 3, which will release on both the Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation Vita handheld consoles on June 30th, 2015 through the Nintendo eShop and the PlayStation Store.
With the release of the title both Koei Tecmo and Omega Force continue to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the franchise, and aims to bring for a new and rich experience for fans of the franchise. This means new storylines, and even new encounters that will occur when the title lands on both consoles. This entry marks the first time the IP will land on the PlayStation Vita since the series launched back in 2011 as a “Chronicles” name for Western Audiences. In this version, players will get to experience a new detailed customization mode, new battle systems from Samurai Warriors 4, but also a Challenge Mode, which will test the players speed, efficiency and even their precise deadliness while taking on enemy hordes.
Just like before, players can enjoy the Story Mode, but this time, players will control their own uniquely crafted character or take on the role of a samurai who already exists in the games storylines. The stories of the samurai they choose will unfold in multiple ways while offering resolutions to large scale battles that’ve never experienced, but even multiple endings that will be altered by a players choices, actions, and even their affiliations.
