Ever wanted a chance to help defend the walls and attempt to stop the Titans from attacking? Sie sind das Essen und wir sind die jaeger/Atlus U.S.A., Inc. has announced that they will publish Attack on Titan: Humanity in Chains exclusively through the Nintendo 3DS eShop for both North America and Europe, and that it will be releasing sometime this May as a digital download only. The title will be taking placed based upon the events of both the success of both the anime, but also the manga, which both came based upon.

Attack on Titan: Humanity in Chains will be the first of a series of Attack on Titans that have released and will feature the original Japanese audio, but also English subtitles for fans to understand the dialogue. Humanity in Chains is based upon the upcoming Japanese remake of one of the earlier Attack on Titan games.

So what does Japanese developer Spike Chunsoft have in store for us? A story mode that will allow players to take on the role as a member of the Elite Scout Regiment, which has been tasked with defending the outer walls from the Titans who seek to bring them down. In order to save humanity, players will fight against an enhanced Titan AI that will attempt to drain players out of every ounce of their gaming capability, and test their chances at saving the human race. While this games does offer such, it also allows customizations and familiar characters to be spotted and enjoyed. Players will be able to choose from familiar faces such as Eren Jaeger, Mikasa Ackermann, and many others while they pick their favorite Scout member to play as. However, players will also be able to enjoy new additions within the Scout Regiment such as customizable costumes, weapons, and even character voices in order to make the game capable of fitting their own experience.
