Review by Dustin Murphy
It’s been a long time in the making as friends have been rallying for a new release of Brandish: The Dark Revenant for the modern handhelds. As a rather famous dungeon-crawling action RPG title, Brandish: The Dark Revenant has now launched as a digital download for North America on the PlayStation Portable, PlayStation Vita, and PSTV. The title can be obtained through the PlayStation Store for 19.99 USD. With death lurking around every corner, it will be unsurprising for fans to have the game loaded on each of the platforms so that players can explore the lost ruins of Vittoria to hunt down treasures and glory.
“With so many requests for the return of Brandish: The Dark Revenant, we did everything possible to bring the game back,” said Ken Berry, Executive Vice President of XSEED Games. “Nihon Falcom did a standout job bringing the game up-to-date, and both we and they are very excited to deliver this to Western fans with the option to play on the classic PSP, on the PS Vita or on the brand new PSTV.”
As noted in our previous article, the title is an action-oriented reimagining of a cult classic only found in the annals of Nihom Falcom. For more information about the game please visit our article here: Brandish Reimagined for the PSP and PS Vita
This title has been rated “T” for Teen.
