MOBA’s as we all know have risen to popularity. A few years ago it was first person shooters galore, a few years before that it was RPG’s, and even a few years before that? It was a melting pot for indie games. Well that indie melting pot hasn’t ended, but what has ended is the fact that MOBA’s are no longer a PC exclusive territory, and console gamers as well as tablet gamers are getting to see their fare share of the genre itself.

With Paragon having been announced at the PlayStation Experience of 2015, the game has grabbed a lot of attention for its unique explosive action that has that special Epic Games touch. With MOBA’s being what they are, players can compete and win without spending money or you can throw out a little bit of cash and get the games Founder’s Pack(s) to start showing your support. As with any title, all heroes are free, and all of their cards can only be earned by playing the game. Yup, you read it first, you unlock characters by playing.

These unique packs will be available starting March 14th with multiple tiers available starting at 19.99 USD all the way up to 99.99 USD. Each one comes with its own content that’ll be given to users. So lets take a look at the paid option tiers:

Challenger Packs (59.99 USD) | Master Packs (99.99 USD): will include a huge number of skins, unlockable items, boosts, a unique skin, and a Founder’s Pack to give to a friend. Right now the rest of the info regarding this is still in the air for those looking to play, but Epic Games has been great about keeping players informed.

If you’re one of those that have been eagerly awaiting Blizzard’s twist on the MOBA genre you have some good news coming your way. As of today, Blizzard announced on the official Overwatch website that the beta will begin October 27th in a Closed Beta format. What does this mean? First of all, you’ll need the Blizzard App on your computer, you’ll need to head over to the official Overwatch website and apply for it.

This group of testers will have access to the beta at any given time, Blizzard will also be monitoring the game for bugs, errors, etc during this period. During the larger test weekends, we are sure that the company will be bringing in larger groups in order to see how well the servers hold up with larger crowds having access to the game to test server quality. The stress tests on the servers will be by invitation only and will require fans to be invited if they aren’t already in the Beta. These streamlined tests will include limited maps, characters, and even game modes.

For those of you who want to run it, you will need to run Windows and have the Battle.net app on your computer. As we stated, you’ll need to register for the beta and read the fine print to ensure that you follow their required guidelines – you can do that over at the Overwatch website.
