With the release of Halo: The Master Chief Collection and Halo: Reach on PC, fans are finding that the collection and Halo: Reach are not supported as Play Anywhere titles, but fret not, the cost isn’t all that bad.

When it comes to Halo: Reach and Halo: The Master Chief Collection, PC gamers around the world have been waiting to get their hands on a copy of the game, allowing them to take full advantage of their PC gaming hardware in a classic Halo fashion. However, many PC gamers who may already own the Xbox One edition of the collection have quickly come to discover that Halo: The Master Chief Collection and Halo: Reach are not included in the Xbox Play Anywhere program.

A part of why it isn’t included wasn’t really confirmed by Bonnie Ross, head of 343 Studios, during the Halo Series Invitational Championship earlier this year, which leaves many wondering if this is partially due to the fact the entire collection is releasing in phases on PC while Xbox One has received the collection and massive updates to ensure stability of the game as well as usability.

343’s community director, Brian Jarrad, has stated (as seen in the panel above), that they are looking at the ability of cross-play in the future, however, it’s just not in the cards as they are looking to get the game as stable as they can as well as the fact the game is running six different games and eight different engines to power each-and-every game.

If you are looking to play Halo: The Master Chief Collection and Halo: Reach on PC, you will need to buy them again at their respective prices of $39.99 and $9.99 each.
