As we quickly approach the May 14, 2019, release date for Asobo Studios’ release of A Plague Tale: Innocence, the studio has released the first episode of the Web Series episode ahead of its launch.

As the launch for A Plague Tale: Innocence, Asobo Studio, the France-based studio behind the game, have released their first Web Series episode about the world they are creating. Their story will tell the tale of Amicia, Hugo, and the Black Death. The first episode is called ‘Roots of Innocence’, and it focuses on the three aforementioned points of interest. The two main characters, Amicia and Hugo, will be seen in a new way ahead of the title’s launch, will let us meet our staring members in 14th century France by introducing us to the talented actors behind the voices of Amicia and Hugo.

Amicia is voiced by Charlotte McBurney and Hugo by young actor Logan Hannan, both young and upcoming actors who have shown their unique and talented approach for their realistically portrayed and troubled characters. In the first episode, the studio also gives us a glimpse into how they designed the world around both Amicia and Hugo, but also how the world of adulthood will weigh in on both of the characters as their familial love will be tested as they attempt to survive the rat plague and the Inquisition through their journies.

As a powerful and narratively driven game, A Plague Tale: Innocence, as Asobo Studio hopes, will follow with us thanks to their beautifully designed world, one that will pull at our emotional strings and will move us once players have concluded the campaign itself.

Stay tuned as we’ll keep you updated as more information and web series episodes are released while we quickly approach the May 14, 2019, release on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
