Predicting Bethesda’s Fallout related announcement

fallout_announce_tease

With the release of Fallout 4 approaching nearly three years old, it seems that it’s almost time for something new from the Fallout universe and it seems Bethesda is ready to answer that call with an ominous live stream that went live just a little bit ago. Find out more about what’s going on as we look into this event.

As we quickly approach E3 and Bethesda’s pre-E3 show, it seems the company is gearing up for making some major announcements just ahead of the show. We’ve already seen them fully unveil RAGE 2 with an amazing gameplay trailer and teaser trailer, but now it seems that they aren’t quite done with their major announcements.

With the hype train beginning to leave the station, it seems that Bethesda Game Studios is ready to make one of their biggest announcements of the year and unfortunately, it isn’t The Elder Scrolls related. With three years since the launch of Fallout 4, it seems that it’s almost time for Bethesda Game Studios to release a new game and we have a few ideas just on what they have up their sleeves. So let’s take a look at our predictions related to this announcement that has yet to be made.

Fallout 4: G.O.T.Y. Edition – Nintendo Switch

After the mind-blowing success of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on Nintendo Switch, we have a lot of hope for Bethesda and their potential to continue releasing some of their biggest hitters on the market for the Nintendo Switch. The company has already dedicated the time and manpower needed to release DOOM on the handheld-turned-console hybrid and have done so with an admirable dedication to keeping as true to the experiences as they can.

With Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus (you can read our PS4/PC review here) releasing in exactly a month from today, we can already assume Bethesda is ready to go all in with the Nintendo Switch. Fortunately for us, a move that makes sense would be releasing Fallout 4: G.O.T.Y. Edition on Nintendo Switch, which would allow fans to take their adventures across the wasteland with them while on the go.

What better way to enjoy the world than on the go, right? After all, Skyrim Special Edition runs great on the Switch and it’s an absolute blast to play while in the car, on the train, or just sitting outside and enjoying the weather.

Fallout 4 VR – PlayStation VR

It seems that Bethesda is no stranger to taking on risky business adventures, but luckily for them their VR endeavor has paid off and now it seems we could be gearing up for a potential release on PlayStation 4 released a little over 5 months ago, it almost seems like now would be the perfect time for Bethesda to release the VR version on consoles for fans to enjoy.

After all, the PlayStation VR is seeing millions of players enjoying the format and the fans are absolutely loving the experiences they’ve been offered up to this very point in time. Now, it would only seem right for Fallout 4 VR to join the ranks of DOOM VFR and Skyrim VR on PS4.

Fallout 5 – PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4

Now, this one is where things get a bit more exciting. We could be gearing up for a Fallout 5 announcement within the next day or two. The last time Bethesda did a tease like this, we got Fallout 4 and there’s no doubt that the excitement levels are slowly rising. It’s a franchise that is nostalgic to many, it’s one that has unlimited potentials are far as stories are concerned.

The only thing we do want to see with this announcement? A new country. Not state, a new country. Sure, we love the idea of a post-nuclear America, but what about England, Ireland, Africa, or perhaps even Japan and Russia? Well, we know that won’t happen, which leaves us to state the more obvious. We’re going to be in the states once again and this time around, we’re pretty sure it’ll be another nostalgic location.

Our only hopes for this one? We’re not a Vault-Tech themed survivor and that we actually get the chance to be a person from the wastelands themselves. But with so little known about what direction the series can or will take, we’re putting our money down on a Fallout: New Vegas type story. After all, we loved it, and the game is also a fan-favorite that deserves another game similar to it in both storytelling and DLC content.

Final Thoughts

While we are certainly aware that at this point all of this is merely rumors, there’s no doubt Bethesda is gearing up for a Fallout-related announcement and we already know they got some tricks up their sleeves. The only thing we don’t know is what exactly what the tricks they are going to show us are. What’re your thoughts? Let us know your predictions in the comments down below.
