May is looking to be a busy month with releases such as Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia, Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire, Conan Exiles, and Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr. Let’s take a look at all your upcoming games for this month.

2018 is already proving that it’ll be an amazing year thanks to many of the games we’ve already reviewed and seen released. Both God of War and Shadow of the Colossus have already proven Sony’s dedication to their staying power remains intact, while companies such as Microsoft and Nintendo continually prove they will be doing things at their very own pace, which has worked for Nintendo quite well up to this very point.

However, many of you may be wondering. What’s this month looking like? Will it be another slow one until later this year or are things getting ready to pick up for those looking for a game or two to play? Here’s a spoiler alert. It’s going to be nuts after May 15th. 1. As interested as I am in Hyrule Warriors and Dark Souls, they’re both games I’ve already played extensively and don’t mind passing on for now. I know I want both at some point… I’m just not eager to dive in over other, newer releases. Otherwise, Detroit is the only brand new release I’m really looking forward to this month. I’m glad too since I’ve been chipping away at my backlog and it looks like I’ll get to spend most of the month doing just that.

    • There’s definitely a lot of games headed our way. Quite a few of them could quite possibly cause us to have a pretty busy year. I’m definitely eager to see how smaller titles like Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr and Pillars of Eternity II: Dreadfire do. They definitely don’t have the marketing push like what Sony has, but I really think they’re going to be two big sleeper hits this year. Personally, I’m extremely excited for PoE II and Warhammer. I think they’ll be great titles, but we will see! The month is young.

      • I’m primarily a sewer-dwelling console heathen, so the Warhammer series is mostly foreign to me. I saw Pillars of Eternity did release on consoles, though, and definitely seems like something I’d get into, but I haven’t picked it up yet.

Agony also looks rad. I was highly impressed by the early demo footage they released last year.
