Today, Ubisoft has announced the latest installation into their rather well received series, Assassin’s Creed. Developed by Ubisoft Quebec, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate is one of the most ambitious game to date. This time fans won’t be just taking on a revolution within France, commandeering a boat, or even trekking through ancient China. Instead, players will be setting their eyes for Victorian London, an adventure that will be exclusive to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC on October 23rd, 2015.

With the catch phrase, “Welcome to the streets. Welcome to the struggle. Welcome to the family,” it is not odd to see that we once more to building our own brotherhood of Assassin’s as you take on the role of Jacob Frye and his twin sister Evie Frye. Their lives take place during London’s Industrial Revolution as it hits its peak and brings forth an age of innovation that had only been thought possible by millions and has now begun to change their lives forever. As this period does reach its height so does the gaps between the rich and the poor to the extent that workers lives have become a little more than a legalized form of slavery. As the fight ensues to regain their rights, so does the rose of gangs that seek to fight back against the poverty. Jacob, the twin brother, has become a hot-headed, determined, and rebellious leader of his own underground gang, which causes his sister to seem in a much different contrast than him as she’s a master of stealth, control, and in ways, the calmer of the two. As they team up, Evie and Jacob seek to challenge their rivals; the plutocrats and the Templars as they seek to regain control of London.

Changing the pace, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate will give players the largest and most modern open-world city to explore compared to any other Assassin’s Creed game. As the world becomes bigger, so does the fighting, and with that – players will combat against rival gangs as they begin to grow their control as well as influence throughout the city. Our new hero and heroine will be brandishing new weapons such as brass knuckles, kukri knives, a revolver, and an Assassin’s gauntlet. The game also features a new and innovative navigation system as players take to new forms of transportation as they hit the open world; this includes a rope launcher for scaling the large Victorian buildings, while zip-lining from rooftop to rooftop or simply performing an aerial assassination. Think that’s all? What about taking to horse-drawn carriages, high speed trains, and tracking down enemies and trying to escape after a daring raid?

The ability to lead an underground gang, commandeer any vehicle on hand and use modern tools to take on an expansive and fast-paced Victorian London sets this game apart,” said Marc-Alexis Côté, creative director, Ubisoft. “Assassin’s Creed Syndicate has been in development for more than two years and this new modern take on the living open world will please Assassin’s Creed fans and newcomers alike.
