When we hear the name “Last Round” we can only imagine a devastating fight having taken place. Many of us could imagine Ryu Hayabusa fighting against Kasumi and both being devastated. This is something we may not just have to imagine anymore for owners of the PlayStation 4 and the XBox One. Starting next spring for the awesome cost of 39.99 USD and 29.99 USD on PlayStation 3 as well as XBox 360. For the owners of PS3 and XBox 360, this title will be only digital and can be found via the PlayStation Store or XBox Live Marketplace.
So what’s the hype about this? The fact that this game will have the best and the brightest of all the content released for Dead or Alive 5. This means we can expect to see the content previously released on this definitive edition and know that Team NINJA aims to set their goals to the sky.

So what exactly does Yosuke Hayashi mean? This game will be beautiful, it will be very heavily upgraded, and will run just as smooth as before. This means upgraded graphics, combat, and new dangers and strategic capabilities in each of the fighting rings. With this we also will be getting to see the largest roster ever before released in a DEAD OR ALIVE title. So who exactly can you expect to play? Lets take a look: Ayane, Bass, Bayman Brad, Christie, Eliot, Gen Fu, Hayabusa, Hayate, Helena, Jan Lee, Kasumi, Kokoro, Leifang, Leon, Lisa, Marie, Momji, Rig, Rose, Phase 4, Tina and Zack. Think that’s all? Team NINJA has also announced four new characters that some of you may remember from the Virtua Fighter franchise; Akira, Jacky, Nyotengu, Pai, and Sarah Bryant.
Customization has become even more in-depth with over 300 open and unlockable costumes that have been made available, this includes the new hairstyle and accessory options that hasn’t been available before! This means your characters? Will truly be customized to your style as they get ready to hit the mat for their new adventure within DEAD OR ALIVE 5 Last Round with your previous save data from DOA 5 Ultimate, this means your rosters, your DLC, and more will carry over.

Since this title is currently in development at the studios where Team NINJA works, we currently know more will be revealed in the upcoming months. This could mean we will see more at Tokyo Game Show later this year or press statements that will be looked into at a later date. At this time Koei Tecmo has stated that the game has not received an official rating, but they do anticipate a “M” for Mature rating due to the games content and themes.
